Additions to the room….

I have added some things to the room box to make it look more interesting to pose the dolls in.
And I think it does do just that.
  See what you think?

A little Room

just big enough to pose my French Fashion dolls in and take pictures. I've been wanting to do this for some time. I like the way it turned out for my fashion ladies, and I think they will pose well in this room.
In fact the FF lady standing there now wears a gown made up from a Gildebrief mag. pattern. I also created a hat and the pin on her lapel.
The chandler was a bit different to make as I had a lot of wires to cover up. I may go back and remake this at a later date, but for now the room has a lighted  crystal chandler. Now at least the ladies have a place to pose for photos.
Take a look and tell me what you think?

Which isn't….

an original Mary Englebrite? I have been playing for a couple of days, and took the time to make up a backdrop for my furniture. Some of it are pieces I have painted to match the others. I papered the walls with some scrapbooking paper that I thought would work well with these pieces, then added a floor piece, and set it up. I think it looks perfect for a little girl to move in ,and right now… it's a frog princess by Heidi Pluseck. She is a darling little girl, and I think this room suits her.
So here it is the Butterfly room.

In her undies...

Riding side saddle so you can see how she sits the horse..

Riding Side Saddle

I have completed the prototype of my side saddle for the Alice doll. I need to take better pictures but for now these quickies will have to do. When I finished the ridding costume I went on the hunt for the right sized horse. My little lady now owns a pure white show horse. So of course, she had to have a side saddle. Now she can ride in style.
She "sits" the horse without any other support {in other words she isn't tied on}. The saddle helps to hold her in place, as they are created to do.
Let me know what you think, please? I will have the pattern available for sale at a later date if anyone is interested, as well as the place to purchase the horse.

And a brown wool

for winter. This is a bit bulky, but I didn't really decide it was a little heavy until after I had almost finished it, so I decided to go ahead and finish the jacket and make a little pillbox hat for winter wear.
She would need the heavier wool during winter, and of course, the summer hat wouldn't work either.
So here it is anyway…..

Cream suit

The Gibson Girl was the first to wear a "suit" fitted for a lady. A trumpet skirt, and a "shirtwaist blouse along with the jacket was what many working girls wore everyday. Victoria is waring a lovely cream colored suit with the trumpet skirt {lined of course}and a matching jacket with stand-up collar and lapels. It closes with one frog at the waist, and flares in the back with a double pleat.
Her cream shirtwaist blouse gathers at the waist, and has pleating down the front and back bodice, that ends in a yoke. This part is decorated with lace, front and back. One doesn't always need the fur-fru of gathered lace.
Her hat has two small white peacock feathers, satin ribbon and cream  lace to decorate it to the nines.
I really love the way this outfit turned out. Doesn't she look stylish?
