This pink gown is made up of a vintage brocade. It was a bit on the heavy side, but still worked quite well. Lace and ribbon trimmings add to the details. It has a train in the back, and would have been considered an afternoon dress, to be worn at home to receive guests. Self ruffle around the bottom adds to the fullness of the gown. Again Frances looks lovely in pink.
She brings to mind thoughts of an afternoon on a chase lounge with a good romance novel, all the ladies are dying to read, but shouldn't. They did of course, just like today. Minus the corset, we love our romance novels. Wonder which one Frances is going to read? Next another visiting dress. Tell me what you think so far?
