A dress for a carriage ride.

This bronze patterned fabric was perfect for Charlottes carriage dress. However, it took a lot of time to complete. If you look closely, you will see tiny little scallops all around the bottom edge of the skirt flounces, the bodice and sleeves. These were sewn, turned and pressed. They did not exists before I sewn them in. It takes a lot of time to do this. Then I found a black lace just the right size to echo the scallops, underneath. There is a tiny little collar around the neck edge. Last was added the tiny loop trim to the bodice piece over the shoulders. She wears her black straw hat you have seen before. I think this looks perfect on her, and I wouldn't change a thing.
